Sayed Abazar Wahedi is an Islamic scholar, Quran teacher, and filmmaker committed to faith, education, and community service. Originally from Afghanistan, he studied Islamic theology for over a decade in Qom, Iran, before earning a master’s degree in film and television from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
As the Resident Alim at the Islamic Center of Fatimiyyah in Hayward, California, he guides and inspires through Quranic teachings and engaging mentorship. Through Beacon of Guidance, he documents the Arbaeen pilgrimage, promoting unity and compassion. An award-winning Quran reciter and advocate for philanthropy, Sayed Abazar continues to bridge tradition and modern storytelling to connect with and uplift communities.
