Sayed Abazar Wahedi is an Islamic scholar, spiritual leader, and filmmaker dedicated to faith, education, and community service. Originally from Afghanistan, he spent over a decade studying Islamic theology in Qom, Iran, before earning a master’s degree in film and television from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
As the Resident Alim at the Islamic Center of Fatimiyyah in Hayward, California, he inspires through Quranic teachings, heartfelt recitations, and mentorship, especially among youth. Through Beacon of Guidance, he documents the Arbaeen pilgrimage, emphasizing unity, justice, and compassion. An award-winning Quran reciter and advocate for philanthropy, Sayed Abazar continues to bridge tradition and modernity, enriching communities through his scholarship and creative storytelling.
